Privacy Policy

BUMPER & co. (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs bumperco.com.au, an online shop for novelty bumper stickers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We’ve kept it plain.

WHAT WE COLLECT

• When you order — your name, email address and delivery address, collected through our payment processor’s checkout, along with your order details (which stickers, quantities, amount paid).
• When you use a form — the suburb-suggestion form, the back-in-stock notify form and the contact form collect what you type in, which may include your name and email address.
• Automatically — basic technical information such as your IP address and request data, used to keep the site running and to prevent abuse such as spam.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details — see “Payments” below.

HOW WE USE IT

We use your information to:

• process, fulfil and post your order;
• send order confirmations and reply to your enquiries;
• review community suburb suggestions and let you know if a sticker is back in stock or your idea gets made;
• protect the site from spam and abuse;
• meet our record-keeping and legal obligations.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.

PAYMENTS

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s handling of your data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the shop, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing;
• Resend — sending order and contact emails;
• Vercel — website hosting;
• our database provider — securely storing orders and form submissions;
• postal and courier services — to deliver your order.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

COOKIES & LOCAL STORAGE

We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand site traffic in aggregate — it’s cookieless and doesn’t identify you individually. Your shopping cart and your wishlist votes are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your own device. Stripe’s checkout pages may set their own cookies, governed by Stripe’s policy.

OVERSEAS STORAGE

Some of our service providers — including payment, email and hosting providers — may store or process information on servers outside Australia. We choose reputable providers that take data protection seriously.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep order records for as long as needed to run the business and meet our legal and tax obligations. Form submissions are kept while they’re relevant — for example, while a suggestion is under review.

YOUR CHOICES

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — just get in touch. If you’ve asked to be notified about a product, you can ask us to remove your email from that list at any time.

SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect your information — the site runs over HTTPS, payment data is handled by Stripe, and access to order data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top.
